Why am I getting the following error when uploading files: “Your file upload has failed because the file is either a corrupt zip file or has exceeded the zip file size limit of 200MB. Please make the appropriate changes and re-try your file upload”?
If you receive the error “Your file upload has failed because the file is either a corrupt zip file or has exceeded the zip file size limit of 200 MB. Please make the appropriate changes and re-try your file upload.” that indicates that the file you are uploading cannot be scanned by the AKO/DKO virus scanner or the portal’s virus scanner is detecting some kind of corruption within the file.
Some known issues to cause this error are:
- One or more files are password protected.
- One or more files are encrypted.
- Two or more files with a zip file have the same file name.
If you are uploading a large zip file and are unsure on which file is preventing the upload, one way to find out is to upload each file within the zip file individually. The file that will not upload is the file that is preventing the entire zip file from uploading.
