CAC-Only Login

What is CAC-Only login? I am tired of resetting my password, how can I make it so I don’t have to reset my password all the time? How do I remove the CAC-Only login?

CAC-Only login

If you have a Common Access Card that you can use to access your AKO/DKO account you can set your account to be CAC-Only. By doing this you are suspending the ability to use a username and password with your account which will first prevent anyone from accessing your account without your CAC and PIN but it will also eliminate the need to renew your password regularly.

How to set your account for CAC-Only login

1 Log in to your AKO/DKO account using your CAC.
2 Open the ‘My Account’ menu.
3 Click the ‘Change Password’ menu option.
4 Select the ‘Set CAC Only Login?’ check box.
5 Click the ‘Enable CAC-Only Login‘ button.

How to remove the CAC-Only login requirement

1 Log in to your AKO/DKO account using your CAC.
2 Open the ‘My Account’ menu.
3 Click the ‘Change Password’ menu option.
4 Enter the new password you will be using on your account and confirm it.
5 Click the ‘Remove CAC-Only Login‘ button.

If your acocunt is set to require your CAC and you lose or relinquish it please contact the service desk for assistance. The service desk itself can not remove your CAC-only requirement but can pass the incident up to a higher tier for investigation and further consideration.

If you are unable to CAC login to view your military records, please use the following steps to obtain/view your military documents:

  1. Go to https://www.hrc.army.mil/
  2. Click on ‘My Records’
  3. Notice the AKO Login box, enter your AKO username and password, click Login
  4. Click on ‘Reserve Record.’
  5. Click on ‘Documents.’ You should be able to see the documents you are trying to access.

I can not access my DAU courses using my CAC card. I get an error message that says “Websit is not valid”. However, I can access the site using my password and UID.

It sounds like an issue with the certificates. Have you gone through the steps and updated those?
